I did not realize until viewing this embeded video on the page that YouTube has embeded its own video advertisements for cosmetic surgery with it.. How disconcerting! I also just discovered that entering "facelift" in a YouTube search will generate every sort of video imaginable on the subject, except mine.. With the exception of celebrities who actually died from cosmetic surgery, whose stories were widely covered in the media, my YouTube video is the only one posted by a real victim of this destructive practive... and now find they hide my videos from their search! Perhaps they fear loss of their paying plastic surgeon advertisers who promote thier videos on YouTube under the guise of "informational". I consider my contribution equally, if not more valuable to the curious consumer looking for information on cosmetic surgery. I have no incentive to twist the truth!
And while I am an ardent advocate of autonomy and an individual's right to do with their own bodies whatever they choose, I vehemently oppose the medical establishment for minimizing the real dangers of such procedures when cosmetic surgeons themselves do not know what untoward results the application of "new" surgical techniques will produce.
This type of surgery is, by its very nature, expermental.. using unsuspecting patients as human guinea pigs.
